How does sprung ballet flooring enhance the practice and performance of ballet dancers?
Our sprung ballet floors are carefully designed to empower ballet dancers with a slip-resistant surface they can rely upon. The ballet vinyl surface laid over flexible wood panels supported by high-density foam blocks combine to create a surface to provide optimal support of the ballet dancer’s body. Ballet flooring from O’Mara Sprung Floors gives ballet dancers the reliability they need for confident and comfortable performances.
Why is a slip-resistant ballet dance floor important?
Ballet dance floors are designed with a specific slip-resistance factor that allows dancers to trust and rely upon their feet as they glide across the floor, propelling themselves on pointe, and balancing gracefully. Tailored to the unique needs of ballet dance, our floors offer a smooth yet slip resistant surface. This feature helps ballet dancers perform with confidence, knowing they have a secure, stable and shock absorbing surface beneath them.
How does the floor’s shock absorption benefit ballet dancers?
O’Mara’s Sprung Ballet Floors provide exceptional shock absorption, offering dancers a comfortable, flexible and forgiving landing surface. This is crucial for protecting joints and minimizing the impact of landings, promoting the longevity of a ballet dancer’s career.
Going up on pointe is the most taxing movement in all of dance. The small joints and ligaments must be protected from a young age to prevent serious injury. Our floors provide 70% shock absorption to minimize injury associated with ballet training.
What characteristics distinguish O’Mara’s ballet dance floors from other options?
Our ballet floors are crafted with premium surface finishes, flexible hardwood panels and long-lasting cushioning to provide sprung flooring that stands the test of time. Our precision tongue and groove seams create seamless surface feel and even resiliency. This commitment to quality makes our floors a reliable choice for dancers who need a ballet floor that allows them to perform at the highest level.
