Terms & Conditions

Specific shipping and handling instructions for each floor size are below:

Floors 2′ x 4′ to 4′ x 8′ Ship in Cardboard Packages:
Floors 2’ x 4’ to 4’ x 8’ are shipped in well-packaged cardboard boxes via UPS. These packages are 2’ x 4’ x 3”, and weigh between 23 and 46 pounds. You will be responsible to take the packages inside.

Shipping and Delivery:
You floor will be delivered to your doorstep, or wherever UPS typically drops your packages. You will be responsible to bring the boxes inside.

Damage Claims:
Upon floor delivery, inspect immediately. Take pictures of any damage to the boxes and panels, and send them to us as soon as possible. Panels are rarely damaged, but please check to be sure. In the event of damage, all packaging must be saved.

Floors 6′ x 8′ to 8′ x 8′ Ship in Half-Size Plywood Crates:
Floors 6’ x 8’ to 8’ x 8’ are shipping in crates 4’W x 4’L x 2’H. Lift-gate service is included with delivery of these floors. A delivery appointment must be scheduled with the freight company. We will send tracking information via email. You MUST BE PRESENT TO ACCEPT THE DELIVERY of this floor. You are responsible to open the crate with a Phillips head screw gun and carry the panels inside. 

Shipping and Delivery:
You must be available to meet the freight truck and to accept delivery. The freight company will get the crates down to the ground only. They will not wait around for you to open the crates. Look over crates to see if there is any damage. If the crates are damaged, you must note this on the Bill of Lading. Once the floor is out of the crate, you own it. Take great care unloading the panels so as not to damage the edges.

Damage Claims:
Upon floor delivery, inspect freight immediately. If there is damage to the crate, note it when you sign the bill of lading. If panels are damaged, do not install.  Take pictures of any damage to the crate and panels, and send them to us as soon as possible. Panels are rarely damaged, but please check to be sure. In the event of damage, all packaging must be saved. All crate damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading. Do not sign off on bill of lading without noting damages.

Floors Larger than 8′ x 8′ Ship in Full-Size Plywood Crates:
Standard sprung floors are shipped crated. Most crates are 4’W x 4’L x 5’H and can weigh up to 1,500 pounds each. Lift-gate service is included with delivery of floors in this size crate. With lift-gate service, the crates are delivered to the ground only. It is your responsibility to open the crates and carry the panels inside. You will need to open the crates using a Phillips head screw gun.

Upon floor delivery, inspect freight immediately. Report any crate damage to both shipper and to O’Mara Sprung Floors. Please call us immediately if crates arrive damaged. All crate damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading. Do not sign off on bill of lading without noting damages. Take pictures of the damage to the crate. In the event of damage, all packaging must be saved. Damage must be documented. To file a concealed damage claim, you must keep all parts of the crate.
