8′ x 8′ Maple Tap + Irish, Sprung Dance Floor

8′ x 8′ Maple Floor: The perfect size for a home studio, this dance floor is big enough to really move around. Although designed for placement on top of cement, it can also sit on top of tight weave carpet. Small manageable sections make this floor the best choice for long lasting quality and convenience. Our Maple hardwood veneer panels provide the durability necessary for percussive dance. Sprung with 3/4″ EVA closed-cell foam for superior resilience and reduced risk of injury. This floor is made of 2′ x 4′ and  4′ x 4′ panels. Clamp and cable sets to hold the floor together, and installation kit is included. Easily assembled and disassembled.

This dance floor can be expanded in both directions, 4′ increments in one direction and 8′ increments in the other direction.

After tapping, expect denting, scratches and black dust to form without any reduction in the shock absorption properties or performance of your floor. Tap+ Multi-Use Urethane: adds an extra layer of protection to your Maple floor, and makes your floor easier to clean. This finish has more slip-resistance than our ProLine finish; this extra friction gives the floor a slightly slower feel. This is great for younger students who do not like the same speed as advancing and professional tap dancers. With this urethane tap shoes leave less aluminum oxide residue (“black dust”), making the cleaning process quicker so that switching between dance styles becomes easier. If you are a tap dancer who would prefer to exchange some speed for a floor that is faster to clean, this is the urethane choice for you.
